WedPro NZ
WedPro NZ helps brides to plan their dream wedding by providing a beautiful, free, and mobile friendly NZ wedding planner.
This is the start of what will hopefully be a long term project.
We released MVP as quickly as possible, so that we can continue to build WedPro based on real user feedback.
The MVP includes social logins, an NZ specific wedding checklist, and a a wedding budget tool that brides can use on the go on their phone.
Since it didn't take much extra effort/time, we built the product to scale from the start. It's hosted on AWS and planetscale, meaning it can handle however many users we end up getting (lots hopefully!)
The core functionality has been mainly CRUD based so far, and for the most part utilizes Laravel + VueJS + TailwindCSS + Socialite.
This project gave me another opportunity to reach for AI, as I couldn't find an existing picture that said "kiwi, wedding and checklist" all in one. Cue DALL E, who I asked to create an image of a Kiwi bird wearing a wedding dress and veil with a clipboard. It was a short jump from there to add a tick list to the clipboard, and now we have (what in my opinion) is a pretty cool picture for our NZ Wedding Checklist landing page.
We have so many cool ideas for the future development of this product (many of which are AI based). Watch this space.
